剧情简介
迪·迪·艾伦（三届奥斯卡金像奖得主梅丽尔·斯特里普饰）和巴里·格利克曼（托尼奖得主詹姆斯·柯登饰）是纽约的舞台明星，他们正面临着一场危机：耗资巨大的新百老汇表演无人问津，使他们的事业一落千丈。同时，在印第安纳州的小镇上，高中生艾玛·诺兰（新生代演员乔·艾伦·佩尔曼饰）正面对一件痛心的事情：尽管得到了高中校长（科甘-迈克尔·凯饰）的支持，家长会的负责人（凯丽·华盛顿饰）还是禁止她和自己的女朋友艾丽莎（阿丽亚娜·德博斯饰）参加毕业舞会。迪·迪·艾伦和巴里认为这是个绝佳理由，他们可以通过艾玛的困境重振自己的名声，并与另一对寻求机会的愤世嫉俗演员安吉（奥斯卡金像奖得主妮可·基德曼饰）和特伦特（安德鲁·兰内斯饰）一起行动。但当他们自我陶醉的名人行动主义意外地事与愿违时，四人发现他们自己的生活被颠覆了：他们团结起来为艾玛打造了一个夜晚，让她可以真正地为自己庆祝。
